Wedding Videography Hampshire | Wild Boho Shoot at The Dreys

I cannot believe I have never blogged this amazing shoot I was part of last year. The concept was thought up my gal pal Mindy Coe who wanted to keep the shoot natural and raw amongst the wild forests and woodland surrounding the chosen venue – The Dreys. This venue is just incredible and the perfect setting for this wild boho shoot. And I want to shoot there more. Hint hint.

Venue

The venue setting is on a nature reserve in Kent with their own ancient woodland, which appears in the video below with the beautiful bluebells. It is a beautiful natural backdrop for woodland blessings or legal ceremonies and even has it’s own glamping area for your guests! The marquee area is perfect for the wedding breakfast and evening party and there is a little log cabin in the woods perfect for a bridal suite. It fitted perfectly for our wild sustainable editorial.

Styling

The gorgeous styling by Turmeric House complimented the idea with organic cotton and natural materials to set the different scenes; including the outdoor champagne breakfast and the beautiful textures and vintage crockery on the tables for the dinner party scene. Delicate stationary provided by Olive Weddings complimented the outdoor scenes with the earthy colours and materials used and the ombre cake using natural colours with elegant sugar flowers was made by the wonderful Cakes by Liane. It ain’t no wedding without a cake!

We were also joined by Ali from Mad Lilies who provided all the incredible blooms and foraged for local branches and leaves to create the stunning woodland ceremony backdrop. I absolutely loved the little berries and the tiny stems used for the dinner table whilst using natural grasses to create those wild  textures.

Glam Time

Modelling for the shoot was the lovely Georgie from BMA models who wore some stunning pieces by Story of My Dress Bridal in Kent – somewhere I am definitely checking out for my own wedding! The dresses are so effortless and floaty and really fitted with the boho theme with the mixes of lace and tulle. Then there was the headpieces! Omg folky dokey sure is the absolute queen of crowns (pun intended) with her mixes of dried flowers and leaves to create absolutely stunning pieces. Eden B Studio also created the most delicate hair piece with dried flowers too which can be seen in Georgie’s up-do. The colours matched the woodland bluebells perfectly. Finally, Melissa Oldridge pieced it all together and glammed up our Georgie for the shoot with natural make up colours and created effortless up-dos and down-dos with wild waves and tumbling tendrils.

Mindy’s vision came to life with the help of all involved and we totally smashed it with the idea of sustainability and nature in mind.
